QUESTION 1
What is the difference between a 2D and a 3D shape?
A 2D shape is flat (length and width); a 3D shape is solid and takes up space.
QUESTION 2
Name one 2D shape and one 3D shape.
For example, a circle (2D) and a sphere (3D).
QUESTION 3
Is a cube 2D or 3D, and why?
3D, because it is solid and takes up space, with faces, edges, and corners.

Create: a shape poster.

Have students draw three flat (2D) shapes and three solid (3D) shapes and label each group. A printable 2D-and-3D-shapes worksheet is in the Mathematics library.
