Third graders learn the days of the week in Turkish (günler) — and discover something neat: two day names are built from “ertesi” (the day after)! Pazartesi = Pazar (Sunday) + ertesi = Monday, and Cumartesi = Cuma (Friday) + ertesi = Saturday. And “Pazar” means both Sunday AND “market”!
