Tamil Telling Time

Sixth graders learn to tell time in Tamil — ask ethanai mani? (எத்தனை மணி, what time is it?), and learn madhiyam (மதியம், noon) and nalliravu (நள்ளிரவு, midnight). Fun fact: “mani” means both “hour/o’clock” AND “bell”!
