Sixth graders learn to tell time in Thai — ask kii mong laew? (กี่โมงแล้ว, what time is it?), and learn thiang (เที่ยง, noon) and thiang khuen (เที่ยงคืน, midnight, literally “noon of the night”). Mong (โมง) means “o’clock.”
